About Delivery Note Generator

A delivery note generator creates a delivery note - the document that accompanies goods and is signed on receipt to confirm what was delivered - as a downloadable PDF. It lists the items and quantities being delivered and serves as proof that the goods arrived, which matters when a dispute later turns on what was or was not received. It is close cousin to a packing slip, but its emphasis is confirmation of delivery. You fill in your business and the ship-to address, list each item with its quantity, and generate the PDF in your browser. Like a packing slip it is about contents rather than price, so the price fields can stay at zero. Printed and signed on delivery, it becomes the receiver's and the sender's shared record. Everything is generated on your device, so your customer and order details never leave the tab. There is no sign-up and no server: you fill the form, the PDF is drawn in your browser, and it downloads to your device, which is exactly the right default for business paperwork that carries names, addresses and amounts.

Using Delivery Note Generator

  1. Identify the sender and destination in From and Ship To. Use a delivery-specific document number so a second shipment can be distinguished from the first.
  2. List quantities actually dispatched. Put the order reference in Reference and describe the package or dispatch date in Notes.
  3. Use the custom field for a delivery reference or contact. Notes can describe shortages or damaged packaging, but there is no electronic receiver-signature capture.
  4. Review the PDF against the shipment before printing or sending. The current layout includes prices and totals; use the packing slip for a price-free contents list.

Where delivery note generator helps

First delivery from a larger order

An order contains 12 chairs but only 8 are dispatched today. List 8 chairs, reference the order, and note that 4 remain outstanding. A later delivery gets a separate note rather than reusing the first shipment's document.

Recording an exception

If a box arrives with one damaged unit, retain the dispatched quantity and document the discrepancy through the receiving process. Replacing the original quantity without explanation would erase the distinction between dispatch and acceptance.
