Please do not email private documents or images. Describe the problem first, using invented values or a non-sensitive sample where possible. Browser-local tools process files on your device; Edge Assisted MCP actions are a separate path that sends file bytes for remote processing.

Report a file-processing problem

Include the original format, approximate file size, page count or image dimensions, and the result you expected. For compression, tell us the requested limit and the output size reported by the tool. Quote the error message rather than attaching the original file. Remove names, account numbers, addresses, and document contents from screenshots.

Describe an MCP result

For an AI workflow, include the action name, the assistant or client you used, the time of the attempt and the non-sensitive error or status fields. A result marked as requiring local execution means another step is still needed; mention whether your client could run that step. For a size target, report whether the response said the target was reached. Please omit Base64 file contents, access tokens and private chat history.

Help us reproduce the problem

Tell us whether the issue occurs every time and whether it also happens with a simple invented example. For a calculator, include the entered units and the expected arithmetic. For a text tool, a short sample that contains no personal data is more useful than a description of a large private document. Keep your original file while troubleshooting; a screenshot of an error is not a backup of its contents.

Report an accessibility issue or request a tool

For an accessibility issue, name the control you could not use and whether you were navigating with a keyboard, screen reader, or touch. For a tool request, describe the input, the output you need, and the requirement that existing tools do not meet. A concrete example helps us distinguish a missing feature from a problem with an existing one.
