You enter your details as the landlord and the tenant as the payer, put the rent as a line item, and generate the PDF in your browser. Use the notes to state the rental period the payment covers and the property address, which is what makes a rent receipt useful later. Because it is a personal financial record, doing this in the browser rather than through a website keeps the tenant's and landlord's details private. Nothing is uploaded. There is no sign-up and no server: you fill the form, the PDF is drawn in your browser, and it downloads to your device, which is exactly the right default for business paperwork that carries names, addresses and amounts.
Using Rent Receipt Generator
- Create a receipt only for a real payment you are authorized to acknowledge. Enter the landlord or agent in From and the payer in Received From.
- Use the receipt date for the actual payment date. Put the property address in the custom field or Notes, and identify the rental period separately.
- Enter the amount actually received, not an unpaid rent demand. State the payment method and any transaction reference without including full bank details.
- Download and check the payer, address, period and amount. Keep your copy with the payment record; the tool does not store a rent ledger or email the tenant.

When a transfer covers both rent and a deposit, use separate descriptive lines and keep their purposes clear. Whether a deposit needs a separate receipt or protection record depends on the applicable process; the generator does not handle that for you.

- For partial payments, describe the paid amount and outstanding balance in Notes. Do not label a part-payment as payment in full.
