About Delete PDF Pages

Removing pages is the most common PDF edit there is: a cover sheet nobody needs, a blank verso from a duplex scan, an appendix that should not go to this recipient. It is also an edit people are unusually reluctant to do through a website, because the documents involved are contracts, medical letters and bank statements - exactly the files you would not hand to an unknown server. This tool never sends them anywhere. The other thing worth getting right is the arithmetic. Deleting page 2 turns the old page 3 into the new page 2, so software that removes pages one at a time while walking through the list ends up deleting the wrong ones. Here the numbers you type are resolved against the original document before anything is removed.

Scanning double-sided documents produces a blank page for every single-sided sheet. Listing the even-numbered blanks in one go is faster than removing them individually.

Check before relying on the PDF

Because the document is rebuilt, fillable form fields lose their registration with the form and stop behaving as fields, even though they remain visible. Rotating a PDF preserves them; deleting pages cannot.
Any digital signature is invalidated. That is inherent to modifying a signed document, not a limitation of this tool.
Deleting every page is refused. A PDF must contain at least one page to be valid.
Page numbers printed on the pages themselves are part of the artwork and do not renumber. Use the page-number tool afterwards if the document needs to read continuously.
Bookmarks pointing at removed pages are not repaired, so an outline may contain entries that no longer lead anywhere.

Can I list pages in any order?

Yes. The order of your list does not matter for a deletion; the pages that remain always keep their original sequence. Use the reorder tool if you want to change that.

Will my form fields still work?

No. Rebuilding the document breaks the link between the visible widgets and the form. Fill the form first, or use a tool that edits in place.

Is the original file changed?

No. The file on your device is untouched; you download a new one.
