A code for a printed poster
Generate at 2048 pixels with medium or high error correction. Print it at least two centimetres square, keep the white border, and test it with a phone before the print run.
Turns a link, message or contact detail into a QR code drawn in this tab. Nothing is sent anywhere, which matters because a QR code often carries a private address or a Wi-Fi password.

Browse all generatorsMost free QR generators do something they do not advertise: instead of encoding your link, they encode one of theirs that redirects to it. That gives them a record of every scan, and it means your code stops working the day they shut the service down or start charging. A printed poster or business card outlives most websites, so a redirect you do not control is a genuine liability rather than a theoretical one. This generator encodes exactly the text you type, directly, in this tab. The code contains your link and nothing else, it will keep working for as long as the destination does, and no server ever learns what you encoded - which matters more than usual, because QR codes routinely carry Wi-Fi passwords, private addresses and payment details.

Encode the standard WIFI: string format and guests can join without typing a password. Since that password never leaves this tab, the code is safe to make here in a way it would not be on a server-based generator.
No. Your text is encoded directly into the pattern, so there is no service in the middle that could stop working. The code lasts as long as whatever it points to.
Medium suits most uses. Choose High if the code will be printed on something that gets handled, folded or partly covered; choose Low only when the text is long and the code will stay pristine.
Not with this tool, because tracking requires routing the scan through a server first. Point the code at a page you control and measure it there instead.
QR codes have a fixed maximum capacity that shrinks as error correction rises. The tool checks before encoding and tells you the byte count and the limit.
No. The encoder runs in this tab, which is the point - QR codes frequently carry Wi-Fi passwords, home addresses and payment details.
Decode a QR code from a photo or screenshot and read its destination as text before following it. Runs in your browser.
Percent-encode and decode URLs in your browser, choosing between encoding a value inside a URL and encoding a whole address. Shows which characters differ.
Generate strong passwords in your browser using crypto.getRandomValues, with entropy shown in bits. Nothing is transmitted, logged, or stored.
