Case conversion spans two different jobs. Editors need upper, lower, title, or sentence capitalization while developers need identifiers such as camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case, kebab-case, and CONSTANT_CASE. This tool keeps those choices in one focused interface and updates the result as the input or mode changes. Editorial modes retain ordinary text spacing where appropriate; identifier modes tokenize Unicode letters and numbers, remove punctuation boundaries, and join the pieces predictably. Conversion happens locally, and the result can be copied without sending draft copy, field names, or internal labels to an external service.
Work through the input
- Upper and lower case use the browser's locale-aware Unicode case operations. They preserve punctuation and spacing while changing letters. Some languages have context-sensitive casing, so the active browser locale can affect a small number of characters.
- Title Case tokenizes letter and number sequences, lowercases each token, then capitalizes its first character. It is mechanical title case, not a style-guide editor: short words such as and, of, or the are capitalized too.
- Sentence case lowercases the input and capitalizes a letter at the beginning and after period, exclamation, or question punctuation followed by whitespace. Proper names and acronyms cannot be inferred and may need manual restoration.
- Camel and Pascal remove separators and capitalize token boundaries. Snake, kebab, and constant modes join tokens with underscores or hyphens. Existing punctuation is treated as a boundary instead of leaking into an identifier.
- The one-million-character limit keeps conversion responsive. Copy uses the local clipboard only after your click. The tool does not keep a conversion history, which reduces the chance that private draft text remains visible later.

Sentence case provides a readable starting point, but names and abbreviations should be restored manually because capitalization alone cannot identify them.
Check the output
- Automatic capitalization does not understand meaning. It cannot reliably preserve brand spelling, surnames, chemical symbols, acronyms, or programming names such as iPhone, McDonald, eBay, or XMLHttpRequest. Review editorial output before publication.
- Identifier modes discard punctuation and whitespace distinctions. Two different labels can therefore produce the same key, and a leading number may still be invalid in a particular programming language. Naming rules belong to the destination language or framework.
- Locale-aware upper and lower case can change character length or produce results that differ from English-only source tools. That is expected Unicode behavior, but systems requiring ASCII identifiers should use the slug generator or an explicit transliteration policy.

Does Title Case follow AP or Chicago style?
No. It capitalizes every token mechanically. Style-guide rules for articles, conjunctions, and prepositions require editorial context.
What is the difference between camelCase and PascalCase?
camelCase begins with a lowercase token, while PascalCase capitalizes the first token as well.
Will punctuation be preserved?
Upper, lower, and sentence modes preserve it. Identifier modes treat punctuation as a word boundary and remove it.
Is my text uploaded?
